Join Kyra Hornung as she explores current brushback styles and creative cutting on textured hair. This class will feature 2 look and learn demos. Barbers and stylists will learn various ways to work with current brushback and slicked-backed styles as well as incorporating in the classic elements of fading and scissor cutting. Demo 2 will explores techniques to work creatively with afro or textured length on top.

Master stylist and salon owner, Lauren Fornabaio gets in-depth with the Razor Shag. In this session Lauren will demo one of her crafted razor shags. Stylists new to the razor will learn the mechanics of cutting longer styles and walk away feeling confident to begin creating with the razor. More advanced stylists can stay for the afternoon hands-on cutting session. Lauren will help guide you through cutting and styling your own razor shag. Mannequins can be brought or purchased - Or - bring a friend! Live models are encouraged.

Lauren Fornabaio: Has trained at the Arrojo Academy, Sassoon Academy, Bumble, Bumble University, Hands-on color classes with some of the top colorists in the industry, a teacher-training program with Sally Rogerson and many advanced razor cutting classes. She offers an apprentice program every Tuesday morning at her New Paltz salon for new stylists.
